- Is this different than the old Suburban Radio Club? I may be thinking of a different group, but they had a club house in Upper Buder Park for awhile there. Or at least that is where they met and had Field Day. My "Field Days" were with the St. Charles Amateur Club back in the 70's. But since I moved into the "valley of RF despair" down here in High Ridge I haven't been on the air much. Where there are high ridges, there are deep valleys. As far as mobile goes, my now ex-wife thought that 2 meters was just senseless chatter and that no one in their right mind would talk just for thesake of talking. So I didn't get much 2 meter work done since we worked atthe same place when we first got married. Oh well. Still keep up the ticket though. Might crank up a rig one day again.
