According to Google maps, which I find to be fairly accurate, there
are these possibilties:
1. I-55/I-155/I-74: 279 miles, 4 hr 31 min.
2. US 67 (passes near Jacksonville and thru Macomb): 240 miles, 4 hr 56 min.
3. US 61: 291 miles, 5 hrs 46 min.
Google maps is pretty slick in that it will offer alternate routes and
if none of them satisfy you, you can drag the route to go where you
want it to. I use it all the time.
