[STL Geocaching] Chouteau Island and the bridge

will be open again starting this weekend.
It is a real easy and really nice cache that you can access from Chouteau
Island or the Missouri side, but only on weekends. You get to walk out on
the old US 66 bridge.
Speaking of Chouteau Island, I plan to put some more caches there in the
next month or so. IL Department of Natural Resources has been buying a lot
of land there. (2,200 acres in the last 6 months-twice as much as Forest
Park). There are plans to get the total public ownership on the island to
about 5,000 acres and plans for trails. Sounds like it will be a nice place
for caching.
