I would think you could float in a tin can or anything for that matter. I don't 
think anyone will be racing down the river... I picture it being a paddle 
paddle walk walk kind of trip in August. If we don't have some rain soon, it 
might be a "draw whatever you got down the river" trip.

  We're  seriously considering throwing off our normal antisocial ways and 
joining this float trip. Would there be objections to a raft? I know they are 
slower..  but we paddle fast.  The three of us in a canoe could turn very ugly 
very fast.   NOT a pretty sight.

    I forgot to mention that there are also kayaks available to rent for $25 
per person.  Just in case you can't find someone to share a canoe with or just 
want to be a loaner  :-)
