Mike, Must be the time of year. Friday the 14th, my crew and I climbed Black Mountain at Philmont Scout Ranch. Right on the peak, I took a picture of a similiar occurence. Hundreds of ladybugs clustered on a log which was only about three feet long. The next day we climbed the Tooth of Time and again, ladybugs everywhere. You couldn't sit still long enough to pose for a picture without a dozen ladybugs crawling on you. I've never seen anything quite like it before. Mark.
