- Have any of the "girls" here ever been to a Becoming an Outdoors Woman workshop offered by the Dept of Conservation? I've always wanted to, even sent in my $ a couple of times, but others always beat me to it! Several weeks ago, I rec'd a postcard announcing the dates (September 12-14 at Windemere Camp at Lake of the Ozarks) Just today I rec'd an email with a tentative class schedule. They have added GPS to their compass and map reading courses woo-hoooo! They also offer options such as: Firearms Safety, Archery Basics, Shotgun Basics, Basic Fishing, Field to Feast, Nature Hikes, Map and Compass/GPS, Fly Tying, Kayak Basics, Canoeing, Nature Journals/Lewis & Clark, Birding, Motorcraft operation, Outdoor Safety and CPR, Canoeing, Primitive Skills and Crafts. My SIL and her mom have attended several of these workshops and have had a blast each time. Has anyone on list attended before or plan to attend in September? Here's the link to the BOW webpage with the email contact. http://www.uwsp.edu/cnr/bow/sched03.htm **************************************************************************** Our WebPage!
