MOG = Mostly Only Geocaching
At the summer picnic, Kurt (Rocfish) came up with the idea of heading
up to Mark Twain for a weekend to pick up some more MOGA caches, and
folks seemed to like the idea. We're going the first weekend in
November, the 6-7th.
Hunting is prohibited in all the developed recreation areas, like
Indian Creek, and this is the weekend before deer (rifle) season
starts, anyway. Sentry Ridge campground is open till 11-22. We're
going to camp, but I'm sure all those little hotels and resorts would
be happy to see a little extra business before the hunters roll in.
I'm going to shoot a little note to Ranger Al, to give him a heads up
that we're coming and to see if there's any reason he knows of that
would make that a bad weekend to come. I'll let you all know if I
get
any feedback from him.
Now, we're taking the slacker approach, of course. This isn't
organized, it's just show up if you want to and we'll all take it
from
there.
