Well--you never know. I would hope not, but sometimes you got to wonder. Like I said, if they are, it is very few and far between around here anyway. On 5/9/07, Bridget E. Griffin <Bridget.Griffin@xxxxxxxx> wrote:
I don't think anyone "intentionally uses bogus or bad cords". I also hope you understand mine. As long as good coord are obtained, great. I just don't think it is fair to try to make a cache difficult solely by intentionally using bogus or bad coord., which are very few and far between in this area. 30 feet is nothing, but when you get up around 50-60-75 feet for a micro, that is another story. Land managers who see an area torn up will quickly take a >bad view of GC. The inconsideration is the culprit, not even terrible coords here. I am only going to use an average of readings from my GPSr. i am into the hunt of the game not the technology. Pinpoint is impossible to achieve, because they are only as good as the worst receiver. Not to mention conditions, positions, and terrain on any day. I think having a 30 feet or less descrepency is fine. >Everyone's idea of fun is different. Very true... I like to hunt the cache not grab and go. I am not the type to load only one stage caches so I can just rack up finds. I like to have puzzles, multis and hard to find micros in the woods. The cache page has the descriptions, hints and logs to help. I use all the info I read before going on the hunt. I am not saying we shouldn't attempt to get the most accurate coords as possible. I am just saying it is pointless to attempt pinpoint because most people do not go to the trouble of buying all the technology or devoting the time to get pinpoint when hiding. So zero on my GPSr will not land me on your caches "pinpoint" when i hide. I am trying to make sense of my arguement. I hope I haven't failed.
