Personally, I would never post a "Needs Archived" without visiting the cache
site myself. We took a road trip to the Davenport area last month, and ran into
multiple DNFs on about a third of the caches that we looked for. They were
mostly along a nice riverfront trail in Muscatine, so we didn't mind the walk.
We did post "Needs Archived" logs on every cache that we didn't find that had
multiple DNFs going back for several months. In most cases, the areas had been
under construction or in a flood area, and we were pretty sure they had gone
missing. In any event, we did the legwork to try to see for ourselves if the
caches might be missing. The last time I looked, none of the caches had been
archived.
