- What is the best or proper way to deal with abandoned caches that have problems or appear to be gone? Many times when you are looking at caches in an area you will find a cache that appears to be gone and has been abandoned by the owner. Here is a good example: GC1Q03C The last 3 logs were DNFs and the 4th one (Nov 11) was a needs maintenance. They all indicate the cache appears to have washed away. The cache owner has not been on the site since June and only found 19 caches. Clearly this one needs to be archived. This one is in IL and the reviewers are not on problem caches as much as the MO reviewers. Should one post a should be archived log without actually going there to check? Or do something else? There are getting to be more and more caches like this.
