after meeting with Chief Bill Brandel 10-6-03 we have come up with geo guidelines for cache placements.all county park caches must be archived at once until they are approved by county guidelines.the new guidelines are as follows: MUST SUBMIT SPECIAL USE PERMIT AVALIABLE AT COUNTY PARKS DEPT. 636-949-7535 1.all caches must include a map of the park that the cache is in with the cache marked on the map. 2. a description of the cache and its location must be included INCLUDING ITS ORIGINAL CONTENTS.(cache containers must be clear and able to be seen through, NO black film canisters, altoid cans, ammo boxes,etc....) 3. your name and username with an e-mail address must be located on the cache with the cache name and coordinates. 4.the cache must not be placed until approval of the cache has been granted by a park official.you may call to see if your cache has been approved to place it.then you may submit the cache to geocaching. **** glenn and brawney, mr brandel has asked me to have you contact them so they can get your information for the records of contact people.all caches will be approved with time as long as they are not located in UNSAFE locations,no climbing trees, on docks, within a bluff edge, no bridges etc.....if the cache is considered unsafe it will be pulled immediatly with no asking questions.think of the 5yr olds hunting a cache where they can get hurt.you may call mr. brandel at 949-1831 and leave a message for mr brandel to contact you.**** thanks for understanding the new cache guidelines for the county parks dept.pntball --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
