Hi all,

I met with our lobbyist, Stephen Butler, this morning and he provided a
little more information regarding the endorsement letters. I am attaching a
template for you to give your agency or any place that has ever contracted
you to perform art therapy services. Here's what we need:

1. The agency to state the effectiveness of their current art therapy
program

2. Them to say that they support our efforts to obtain professional
standards for art therapists

3. Them to say that their population is vulnerable and it is
imperative that trained professionals work with their patients/population

It is not critical that all three of these be met, but it would be ideal.
Send letters to Katie Dempsey, who is the chairman of the Child Mental
Health Committee (if your agency has already written on "To Whom it May
Concern", don't worry; we can still use it. Email is by far the best! Have
the agency email it to Katie Dempsey directly and copy you. You forward it
to me so we can keep it for GATA's records.
