*The countdown to the deadline for the 2018 GSU Bring It Home - Greek
Challenge is on!*

As we move forward I have to share an interesting story:

A longtime friend (member of Omega Psi Phi - Temple University) was in town
recently and I was discussing the "Bring It Home/Greek Challenge” and the
good it has provided to our GSU legacy.  This gentlemen (whose children are
HBCU alumni) immediately donated $100.00  to Grambling State University
under Gamma Psi.  So, of course I was excited, but then my mood changed
quickly as I thought about the *lack of participation* we have from our own
brothers in the Bond.  Nupes, please consider sacrificing a drink, golf
outing or a smooth cigar this week and support your Alma Mater!!!

We would like to eclipse the 235 donor number that took part in a
monumental fundraiser last year and are asking for the help of you, your
family and friends.  Again, it’s not about amount, however the support
factor that will keep the doors open and continue to move our HBCU
forward.  No amount is too small!

*Two important items of note: *

1.) Your tax-deductible donation will have no service fees and will be
split between the university GAP Fund and the Gamma Psi Memorial
Scholarship Endowment.

2.) *Consider this:* 10 years ago, Louisiana state funding was 70% of GSU's
budget.  Now, state funding is approximately 30%.  So, simply ask this
question: *If not us, then who?*
