Brothers,
Grambling State University is grateful for your ongoing support. The
Grambling University Foundation will soon publish an article thanking the
Gamma Psi Alumni for its work in establishing a $100,000 endowed
professorship in the name of Dr. Joseph B. Johnson (Spring '55), who served
as university president from 1977 to 1991. The professorship is a result
of an $80,000 contribution from you and a $20,000 matching contribution
from the state of Louisiana.
This endowment gift is the latest in a generous 36 month period for us
which included a $25,000 donation to the GSU Gap Fund, a $25,000 donation
to the Gamma Psi Memorial Scholarship Fund, a $22,000 donation to establish
the No Student Left Behind (NSLB) Scholarship Endowment, a $500 scholarship
to the Dr. Joseph B. Johnson Leadership Award winner, and upcoming
scholarship commitments to the 2021 Gamma Psi Chapter Ms.
Krimson-and-Kream Pageant
winners. These donations were a result of your generous participation in
the annual GSU Greek Challenge, two No Student Left Behind (NSLB)
fundraisers, and a NSLB golf tournament.
Finally, the following undergraduate brothers received chapter awards for
