Hey you just need to use empathy for video chat. Otherwise you can configure
the google video chat option using a compatible web browser like firefox.
basically you have two modes of connectivity for a broadband. PPPOE and
Bridge.
If your router(modem) is configured in bridge mode, you would be directly
connected straight away when you plug in the ethernet cable.
but if it is not connected, you may need to go with a bit of configuration
process. very simple.
go to you terminal and login as root. then run pppoeconf. follow the
instructions.
