for last few moths there is strong fight[not physical [?]] between me and my
brother. he os a central government employ.
i could not convince him the need and advantage of free software. only thing
he agreed is it free from virus.

last moth i gave him *GRASS GIS* (Geographic Resources Analysis Support
System),

he said it a useless one[?].
he said
he could not start a simple project,
no good user interface,
there is no company to take its responsibility.

so he dont wish to continue its use.

Well said, Rajeev. But I would suggest that we also avoid using the term
"piracy". Because we believe in sharing. And the term "piracy" is too
harsh a term to denote* sharing knowledge*. It points to acts like
attacking ships and looting and burning them in comparison. Maybe we can
call it "illegal" software. Or "illegal sharing" of software or
knowledge. "Piracy" is more of a propaganda term.

he said sharing of knowledge and information is very risky. he "say if share
the knowledge and information in an open community, how can we ensure that
people wont misuse it?".

he continued with an example"if the nuclear and other weapon technology is
open to all then, the terrorists can easily rule the world ."

*he is forgeting the situation of trust in proprietary system.*

can anybody give better answer?
also what are the terms we can use, and we should not.
*Piracy*
