* Im stressing this because as a movement, we need to combat and respond

society relationships.
* Also, new EC members must learn such IT services handling skill that
will be useful for their career too.
* And such services are of much need for supporting the local issue
problem solving... (for ex: coastal mapping by commons :

* We also need members to know and learn about how policy changes and
understand tech-legal space works and how will it influence masses, so
that as a collective we must able to respond to it in time.

On resource toolkit usage :

we have decided to focus on GLUG organizing and enrichment. As wiki
maintainer, document curator, i planned to provide readable and usable
toolkits (it can be book, illustration, process, sw, hw...) that will
help the glug organizers in particular educational institution
(colleges, univs, schools), to engage in conversation with others
(students, friends, juniors, seniors, teachers, professors...). This is
important because without having a wider awareness we become narrowed
down and thus feel limited to tech. only - which is not a suitable
conservation stater and engage in discussion with that alone. Please
make use of the resources i have been providing it and try to contribute
if you find any too.

On Weekend EC meeting :

It is not mandatory to initiate the meeting by Kamal, or Maniraj, or
Ragulkanth alone, as EC members whoever available shall and must
initiate the meeting by :
1. SMSing all the members the day before
2. call them
3. sms notify again once before 1 hour
4. even to periodize put a calendar in our nextcloud instance and sync
with it.


On FSHM inception day :

Thanks for sharing the zotero treasure. will add the collection to our
wiki at appropriate places.

Dear comrades, EC members of FSHM...

Since i could not be active on day to day activities of fshm, i would
like to keep communicating to inform on my side of contributions some
periodical basis.

1. i am continuing my wiki contribution whenever i find time, and
recently the tool-kits that will be useful for glug leaders are updated,
It will be kept updated. However, if any of you find our wiki to be
boring or too much informative or over the head.. please inform me... i
will help unclutter.

2. since i like working with researchers, activists, the interest have
grown with me since my college days and so, i have been engaging myself
to share the skill of mapping, gis, rs with a social science, activists
collective called ROSA. The progress is linear, and the feed back is
also getting better day by day. I took this as a exercise to illustrate
how participatory research will actually make the research a socially
transparent and democratic one. Also a serious lack of free software
awareness, tools, instruments, workflows is there - which i have learned
all these years to a certain extent helps greatly. 

3. i have also initiated a offshoot community mainly for engaging a
diverse group of people : "Coastal Mapping Community", to primarily
convince the mappers, osmers, wikipedians, to use their ability to
preserve both the social livelihood and biodiversity in coastal regions,
especially coromandel coast. On the same, i am trying to convince
president of FSHM to contribute some of their time to instantiate OSM
related services like HOTOSM tasking manager, Open Aerial mapping, Open
Drone mapping, etc...

The HOT OSM TM can be instantiated to particularly initiate a project
from local to global that address contribution primarily focused on
coastal mapping. Say osm.coast, similar to osm.earth. Why not ? This
will be a huge breakthrough if we keep updated on this. I think my
contribution to bring the research scholars, activists, ecologists,
scientists, students, urban designers, geographers, osm mappers, into
the picture will help progress to such goals.

REMINDER:

Community based hardware projects like weather station, community WiFi
mesh networks, 3d printing and cnc, need to be celebrated - not only to
encourage youthful contribution, but also to think about how to push
ourselves forward on such areas of action.
