Hi all,

How many of you out there would be interested in developing a fruity
setup for playing live?

Last night, I figured out a hack so that you can mute/unmute channels
using keys on a MIDI keyboard. At the moment the tracks only stay
unmuted as long as you have a key pressed, but I'm working on some
clever tricks with the formula controller so that it latches and
unlatches on each press of a MIDI key.

Currently, you can mute/unmute the first 9 channels using keys 1-9 on
your computer keyboard, but I want to use more than 9 channels and
patterns.

I also have a technique for controlling multiple channel mutes with key
velocity; if you press the key hard, all channels are un muted, if you
press it softly, only some channels are unmuted etc.

What other things would it be cool to be able to control in a live
setup? At the moment I'm working on the assumption that you either put
every part for every channel in the same pattern (and play in pattern
mode), or have everything in individual patterns but layer all the
patterns at once (and play in song mode).

Personally, I think fruity could use a third mode, perhaps "performance
mode" in addition to pattern and song mode :). Don't fancy my chances
of talking gol into that one though!!

Andy
