That sounds logical. If I were to use Cool Edit 2000, can I batch = convert a group of files or do I have to do this per sample? Do you = know if SoundForge 5.0 can convert mp3 to wav? Thanks again Andy. -----Original Message----- From: Andrew Ebling [mailto:andyebling@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, November 13, 2002 8:23 AM To: fruityloops@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [fruityloops] Re: mp3 to wav > I downloaded a group of mp3 samples from this site on the internet. I = batch converted the mp3 files to wav files for use inside FL. About 2/3 = of the samples work fine in FL, but the other 1/3 of the samples will = not work in FL. I can hear them with media player, but FL will not play = them. I used Music Match to convert all of them. Any ideas on what the = problem might be and how I can fix it? Thanks for any help. =20 I'd advise using a sample editor like cool edit 2000 (http://www.syntrillium.com) to do this sort of conversion, rather than an mp3 player than happens to export to wav. I'd liken it to using a screwdriver as a chissel; it might sort of do the job but the results won't be ideal ;-). I suspect music match to be buggy here :-(. My guess is it is adding something to the wav header which is confusing fruityloops. Andy --=20 The contents of this e-mail and any attachments are confidential and may be legally privileged.
