You should also check out Stomper, a fantastic way to create original
drum samples.  I have a policy now of trying to get the sound I am
looking for using Stomper, and then only revert to samples from the net
or sample cds if Stomper doesn't deliver.  (usually it does).

I find it is particularly good for bass drums and snares, hats are a
little more work to get sounding good.
