 i currently am using this miditech controller, its pretty decent.  i think
 the velocity sensitivity is a bit shotty.  i would probably not buy it
 again, it has an overall cheap feel to it:

if i were to buy a new controller i would probably get the oxygen 8.  its
compact and pretty powerful.  it runs on usb but also has midi connections
so you can use it for hardware still:

and i've been droolin over this for a while.  im a big mpc fan, so bringin
this interface to floops, excuse me - fl studio, would be slammin:
