Yes they aren't particularly good. All the more reason for creating your
own. One of the best sources of grooves IMHO is live percussion loops
(toms, shakers etc). Not only do these loops have a lot more personal
expression than a programmed drum loop, but it tends to be easier to figure
out where the 1/16th note positions are.

I have the registered version of beat slicer, so I can't say for sure.
However, I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't be able to do the
procedure I outlined previously using the unregistered version. Can anyone
try with the unregistered version and confirm this? Thanks.
