Nope, its the same version for all windows versions. Some tips though: - use the (large) utility you can download from microsofts website to check your hardware and software for XP compatibility before you buy. It may throw a few things up, but it may well be possible to overcome them... at least you'll know in advance! - make sure you have a copy of the fruity demo install, the demo->full patch, any plugin patches plus all your regcodes backuped up in several places. - don't attempt to upgrade your 98 installation - this is asking for trouble. Much better to wipe the disk clean and do a fresh install. I have a procedure that I use to return hard disks to their "factory" blank state (uses a linux boot disk you can download off the net), let me know if you want to know about it. - go and check the websites of all the manufacturers of your bits of gear (sound card, gfx card, modem, motherboard) for XP latest drivers and download where neccessary. Burn them to CD (or whatever), so that you have them handy once XP is installed. Otherwise you could find your self unable to get on the net to go and get the drivers you need to fix the system - a catch 22 situation :(. Hope that helps - "I've been there and done that" a few times now ;-). Andy
