Gil Michel, FGM's accountant, has an unused back room at his office on
Miami and Dubail streets, not too far from the lab. He will let us use it
for temporary storage for 3 months. He requires that the equipment is
stacked neatly and in order. So I think only computers can be stored there
and only what we can distribute within 3 months.
I'll arrange a time to transfer equipment from upstairs at the Sal. Army to
Gil's back office.
We have 24+ P-133 boxes coming in the next 4-8 weeks. They have not cdrom
drives, sound cards or modems. But they have 32-64 MB of memory, adequate
HDs and Intel nics -- excellent LTSP workstations. Another donor may have a
similar number of boxes ready soon. I don't know whether they are
refurbable or recyclable. The donor himself doesn't know. They have to
decommission the units and wipe the HDs.
