Meorot Yerushalayim, a girls' seminary in Jerusalem for girls from
non-religiousl backgrounds, seeks a full-time Director of
Development/Fundaiser. Please see the job description below.
Responsibilities

Develop and execute annual fundraising plan
-
Research individuals and foundations to find potential donors Secure
financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations
-
Travel 4 times a year (2 weeks each) to North America; possibly to
England as well
-
This includes developing in advance a detailed schedule, list of
potential donors (and the amount requesting and any “hook” or “niche” to
encourage greater investment) and reporting afterwards the
results of each
meeting.

Identify prospects within Israel and meets with them
-
Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with donors
-
Create and executes a strategy for a large sustained base of annual
donors

Secure major gifts of $10,000-$100,000
-
Oversee organization of special events
-
Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate
fundraising

Develop and implement campaigns and other fundraising initiatives using
social media
-
Arrange meetings and events for the Dean and Director when he travels
-
Ensure that relevant donor communication and tax receipting is timely
and accurate
-
Develop relationships with current students, alumni and their parents
-
Work with administrative staff to provide input for our newsletter,
website and other promotional materials

Actively use our database (Salesforce) to track all donations, potential
donations and donor information
Qualifications

Passionate about the seminary's mission of educating women with limited
Jewish backgrounds

Experience in development/fundraising

Team player
-
Detail-oriented, can develop a plan and stick to it
-
A “people person” with demonstrated excellence in communication skills
(including use of Whatsapp and social media)

Computer skills
-
English (mother tongue), proficiency in Hebrew
