My problem is disposing of a car that is not reliable and is costing us money
for insurance (the insurance agent says we cannot cancel our insurance, even
though it is only liability insurance, as long as we own the car...but the car
doesn't run...)
I thought maybe we could donate it. Thank you for the information.

in the states, yes, you can do it, but it is a huge tzedakah scam. the
organization gets about $100 and the rest of the money goes to used and old car
business people. you are much better off selling your car and making a donation
to the tzedakah of your choice.
as for israel, no, it doesn't exist like that. again, in any case, it is 1000x
better to just sell the car, even cheaply, and give the cash to tzedakah. much
much better.

Hi everyone,
In the U.S. it is very easy to donate an automobile to a charity and get a tax
deduction.
They even take cars that are not running.
Is there such a thing here in Israel, and if you know of one, would you please
advise me of the details?
