Almost totally agree with you, Arnie.
I disagree about the arbitrary 4M line you draw - it really all depends on
what the org does - some work IS more expensive to do than other...
But I believe we agree that it's OK as long as things are "making sense",
can be explained, are transparent, ethical and reasonable...

point. he only talks about overhead and never ever about reasonable
overhead.
bigger is not better, nor more efficient. in fact, in my experience, once
an organization goes over about 4,000,000NIS a year budget, it tends to
become significantly less efficient.
reasonable overhead is justified and acceptable (+/- 15%). unreasonable
overhead is never ever justified. huge salaries don't cut it either. and
neither does a huge sum in cash in the bank. happy to share examples.....

yes, i understand: if and only if it is the same or better results. ihave
been doing this for 20+ years, and rarely - very rarely - need to goabove
the 15% - 19% threshold. usually, it's much lower.
and hence, more precious tzedakah shekels for more non-profits to help
more people in need.
