We have several named buildings that are now twenty – thirty years old. We need to carry out extensive renovations. Is there a standard practice that after a certain period names on buildings can be changed? This would enable us to offer naming a building to cover the cost of the renovations. Understandably it would be best if a time period was clearly stated in any contract drawn up with a donor. But presuming the donation and subsequent dedication was made without a contract, is there any accepted code of conduct for renaming buildings? Chag sameach, Rosalind
