The backing of the Director/ E.D. is essential, and top priority.
The second best way to get others to "play" is to bring in funds for
projects they care about.
Another way is to listen to the "pain" of colleagues, i.e. their
frustrations at work. Then they usually will take a second look at the
importance of PR and Fundraising.
Too often the fundraiser is seen as being almost an island unto
his/herself. I've seen this again and again.
