I'm pretty sure Mambo will allow users to post news without being admins, although the admin will have to approve the news beforehand. Mamba also has a 'sidesite' with XML coding to be used as RSS feeds. Any site owner can use the XML url link on their site to dynamically show the news posted on the Mambo site. -----Original Message----- From: freeroleplay-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:freeroleplay-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ricardo Gladwell Sent: Tuesday, July 26, 2005 04:18 AM To: freeroleplay@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [freeroleplay] Re: Site Revamp! I could certainly display syndicate news in a new sidebar box via an external RSS feed. Another option would be to simply give you guys logins for the Mambo admin site and let you add news items to the queue. What I would like to do is register an RSS feed in Mambo and so that I can copy news from RSS feeds to the FRPGC site through the Mambo admin screen. Doesn't seem possible though, which is a pain. > This is something I'm currently looking at, though it's slightly more > complex then I'd hoped to get one working. I think it would definitely be worth the effort: I use RSS (or Atom feeds, which are the better choice apparently) readers all the time, both at home and at work. Kind regards... -- Ricardo Gladwell
