When in doubt, look at the code... I've had a look at the computer readable code generated for both the GPL and CC license, and it looks like they're not compatible: GPL: <permits rdf:resource="http://web.resource.org/cc/Reproduction"; /> <permits rdf:resource="http://web.resource.org/cc/Distribution"; /> <requires rdf:resource="http://web.resource.org/cc/Notice"; /> <permits rdf:resource="http://web.resource.org/cc/DerivativeWorks"; /> <requires rdf:resource="http://web.resource.org/cc/ShareAlike"; /> <requires rdf:resource="http://web.resource.org/cc/SourceCode"; /> CC: <permits rdf:resource="http://web.resource.org/cc/Reproduction"; /> <permits rdf:resource="http://web.resource.org/cc/Distribution"; /> <requires rdf:resource="http://web.resource.org/cc/Notice"; /> <requires rdf:resource="http://web.resource.org/cc/Attribution"; /> <permits rdf:resource="http://web.resource.org/cc/DerivativeWorks"; /> <requires rdf:resource="http://web.resource.org/cc/ShareAlike"; /> The CC requires attribution, whilst the GPL does not. Since it's an extra limitation on distribution, I don't think the GPL will allow this. Not sure whether the source code requirement of the GPL breaks the CC. -- Be seeing you, -------------------------- Sam. http://www.glendale.org.uk
