While Mailman is not as good as Ecartis, it is still very good. I've just been looking at the Mailman web page (www.list.org, actually from the Google cache since I can't otherwise access them) was they have quite a lot of good options. Plus the source is available. One disadvantage is passwords or each list rather than for each E-mail address (Ecartis). Personally, I'd prefer one password for an account and allowing multiple E-mail addresses for the account. Tightcircle does this, but their format is more like Postit Notes rather than messages (and I don't think their software is avaiable). No matter what you choose, the major pain is the archives. The best bet with these is leave the old stuff available and start building anew. If Ecartis keeps the old message around in a good format (mbox - one big file, or MH - one message per file) you could feed the archives through Mailman. -Paul =========================================================== The FreeLists-Users mailing list Archives: //www.freelists.org/archives/freelists-users Administrative contact: weez@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ===========================================================
