Yes, that is why I said it is an eSpeakNG bug.

Specific notes (most likely problems with espeak-ng):

Yes, this is an eSpeakNG issue, it says "a grave". We have to leave it that
way or report it to eSpeakNG.

I guess this is probably correct on espeakNG's side.  If it's told to
speak dutch, it won't speak french.  Ideally, it could recognize foreign
language -s/expressions, though this is probably not the case.

No ,it doesn't do it by default. `à` is correctly read in English, but the
German version does say `a gravis`, same as its Dutch counterpart. If somebody
would want to report this, see the bug tracker here:
