I understand the sentiment. What I could do is edit the Freedict ODD to
restrict the values of @type on <pron> and set "broad" as the default value,
and document that accordingly.

I would very much appreciate if you could work on this. The ODD always
remained odd for me.
If somebody would be so kind to open an issue for that so that people know the
resources and reasons why differnt pronunciation variants exist and that we
intend to support this, that would be great.
