Please report if it is still not clear enough.

As of now, the sources are first referenced to be found on the downloads
page and later to be (seemingly exclusively) on GitHub. To me, that
sounds a little confusing, though I consider that a minor issue.

By the way, the in-text link to the downloads page is broken.

Done. Regarding dict+dictd: that heavily depends. GoldenDict offers a far 
nicer
user experience for non-command-line users. I'm using dict/dictd, but users I
now prefer GoldenDict. It is also very popular on Windows, because it does not
require a dict daemon. I removed "popular" from that paragraph.

 Lastly, I personally do not like those drop-down menus, particularly
 due to them apparently requiring javascript. Though the table on the
 old website grew admittedly quite large.
The drop-down menu works with a javascript-free browser as well, at least w3m
shows me the list of dictionaries :). The table is not a solution and if you
know of a better way, I am open to change the design. Two drop-down menus is
overkill. Users usually think "I need a Chinese dictionary", so it is best to
present a list with the dictionaries with this language. Especially if you 
would
need fra-deu and deu-fra, updating two lists just to get these dictionaries is
tedious. But as I said, I'm open for suggestions.

I have updated the downloads page so that it also works with a non-JS browser
whose name is not W3m. What do you think?
