Al,

Have you tried Swisher Emerald? That one is brighter than Diamine. I actually like a 50/50 mix of Swisher Emerald and Noodlers Verdun - makes a nice, vibrant green without being too bright and maintains the waterproof quality, too. (I wrote on a piece of paper and left it soak in water all day - it was still fine.

The Verdun is too bright on its own IMO.

Michael, received your note today. The Diamine Emerald Green is not quite as
bright as the old Skrip Emerald. I'm beginning to wonder if this ink didn't
vary as much as Persian Rose,

The Hellbender Red sure is waterproof! When I opened your envelope, I
accidentally set it face down on the cupboard top where there was a drop of
water, left from breakfast. While I didn't try rubbing the wet writing, it
sure didn't dissolve like most inks! Nathan sure knows what he's doing with
these waterproof inks.

Al,

I have never tried the Skrip. If you send me your address, I would be
glad to send you a note written in Diamine green, and then you could
share your reaction with those who might be interested. I do like the
color. I have several greens, and like this the best.

Michael, notice your mention of Diamine Emerald Green! I was a fan of
the
dear, departed Sheaffer Skrip Emerald Green. I was recently told I
should
try Diamine green for a good substitute.

I'm sure others may be interested too. Do you feel it's close to the
old
Skrip, or did you never try it?

Thanks,
Al Besser

I am much more an accumulator than a collector. I have no rhyme or
reason
to my pen possessions, but I love them all. If I end up with one that
doesn't write quite right, I send it off to one of the pen rehabs. Just
got
my Wakasa-nuri back from Kevin Cheng, and it is a changed pen. Filled
it up
with Diamine Emerald Green, and just can't stop writing.
