Re: [foxboro] Remote Access with GoGlobal

The features that I mentioned all relate to DM/FV setup. It has nothing to
do with GG or eXceed or any other X-package.

The dmcfg file can be setup to automatically disable omsets and protect
everything. The environments are then used to open appropriate holes in the
DM/FV.

There are two manuals that do a good job on this:

B0193MQ Display Engineering for 50 Series Workstations
B0193NV 50 Series X Client/Server Support

Hope this helps.

        Alex,
Know nothing about GoGlobal, but can it not be setup like Exceed?
With Exceed we comment out the line enable omsets for all
environments
except those that have full access to the system.
This is just for my info as we plan to stay with Exceed.
        Thanks
        Troy

The DM/FV can be configured to be view only in the dmcfg file
(/usr/fox/customer/hi/dmcfg). There are instructions in the same
directory.

I'm not aware of anyway to change the GG telnet to be view only
(pretty
useless telnet if it was view no type).

Is is possible to configure GoGlobal with read only
access
        regardless of
                   the userid/password presented at login?
