As a rule of thumb, this information is available through the Customer

Subject: [foxboro] Reliability of Copper Carrier Band Lan interfaces

Dear List,

I am trying to ascertain a spares strategy for the next couple of years to
support the lifecycle support agreement and wondered if anybody had data on
the above question.

For us a critical question is how often these devices fail verses how many
we have installed. This will allow us to take decisions on when to upgrade
certain parts of our network.

For us here, we have 10 devices, and we have a failure of 1 every two years,
giving me 0.5 failure per year figure.

Does anybody else have similar information that I could use to confirm my
figures ??

Also, on a broader note, are these figures available anywhere else for this
device, and any other Foxboro Devices ?

Thank you,

Nick Maher
