We've had a bit of success on the request to make HLBL more functional:

The PER has been investigated. The enhancement is for a preferred
product, is considered beneficial and implementable.
The acceptance of this PER does not constitute a commitment by
Invensys to implement the PER.
The implementation of the PER is NOT scheduled yet.
PERs are entered asynchronously to product releases which will take
time to plan, implement, test and release. The next time that a
release of this particular product or replacement product is planned,
the PER will considered for the release by the marketing and
development team. If accepted to be included in the next release the
PER state will be changed to “Scheduled”.

make better products.
