Tom,
Just my 2 cents worth. I have worked with WASP and also used Calc blocks for
annunciator displays. Both work well, but I tend to lean towards using Calc
blocks. It is more easily configurable and it resides in the CP rather than a
program. I have witnessed where the WASP program appeared to running just fine,
but no alarms. It was "hung" (for lack of a better word) and I had to stop and
restart the program.
With the Calc blocks, there is one for each row/column combination. One matrix
was 7x6, so 42 Calc blocks per annunciator screen, plus a few more for external
horns if you want them. We use the annunciator keyboards for sound.

Subject: [foxboro] Foxboro Window Alarm Scanner Package (WASP)
To Bruce Gansner,
I would like to hear feedback about your experience installing,
configuring, and using WASP.
Was it the Windows Application Version?
Did you get it installed and operational as expected?
Did it effectively replace your old hardware based Annunciator Panels?
Was it what you and operators thought it would be and had hoped for?
Has it been reliable and easy to modify?
Thanks for any feedback.

We are in the midst of a project to replace the annunciation panels with WASP
which is FoxPanels but more configurable The idea is to have a touchscreen
dedicated to WASP for one touch display menu and alarm response Hope to be up
and running in January
