The Inhibited Alarms Report never ran reliably at our site, we also discovered
this by chance back in Dec 2010 and we raised a CAR for it but never got to the
end of it.
In our case, the faceplate of the block did not show the "inhibited sign" even
though the button was marked as "enable" indicating that it is indeed
inhibited. The report did not capture it. Moreover, the ALMSTA parameter did
not change whether the alarm was inhibited or not.
We suspected, but did not confirm, that this happened when the enabled alarming
options were only the BAD/OOR combinations.

Subject: Re: [foxboro] FoxSelect "Blocks with inhibited alarms" report not
updating
Silly questions first...
Are you sure all the stations are connected for the update (ie. they are blue
on foxselect)??

Has anyone had a problem with FoxSelect reports not updating even though you
click Refresh? I have configured a report to show "Blocks with Inhibited
Alarms"
selecting all CPs and all alarm types, all Compounds and Blocks. I created
this in December on one operator workstation so they could look at and print a
list of inhibited alarms from there. Seemed to work fine that day, never
checked back until today. Now I see that when I click Refresh, even though it
looks like it refreshes, it doesn't actually add the newly inhibited alarms to
the list (spot checked a couple that are now inhibited). Seems to be stuck on
the data it got long ago. Besides the regular Refresh menu option and button
in the Report View, I tried Refresh All from the Station View, even tried
configuring a whole new report and it didn't get the new ones either.
I think we're on FoxView 10.4 on this
workstation, IA v9.x, on the Mesh. We have a mix of stations on the Mesh and
on the Nodebus, but it seems like it's not updating inhibited blocks from any
station, whether on Mesh or Nodebus side.
Just wondering if anyone has seen this
and knows a fix/workaround. We have System Auditor but want to have
flexibility to use FoxSelect reports also, especially since SA only updates
once a day and this one should be real time.
