Good point. You will also need to assign your FBMs in Control Editor between
different Field Bus's. Baseplates 0-3 go to Fieldbus 1, 4-7 to FB 2, etc.
With FCP270 you could daisy-chain fieldbus, but with 280, the HDLC run goes
back to CP. CP280 baseplate has the 4 fieldbus channels on it.
If long distance, use 2-position baseplates with FCM2f modules to remote I/O.
HDLC max cable, I believe, is 60m.

Subject: Re: [foxboro] CP270 to CP280
The only issue I have with migration to FCP280 is managing the fieldbus
with the CHAN parameter. The addressing on an FCP270/FEM100 combo doesn't
convert well.

Any issue with upgrading from CP270 to CP280? Loading? FDSI's? We plan
to replace a couple fairly loaded CP270's and trying to make sure we
address any issues ahead of time that might occur.
Thanks,
Brian
