Oh dear, as far as I can see now, you probably are correct. I will not respond to the list on Sunday morning again. I checked the files I mentioned in the mail earlier and could not find the option I thought was in there. There is an option in there the influences the way alarms are silenced but that is another thing. It makes the horn go off when all block in alarm return to normal. I guess I was thinking of that one. Sorry for the confusion folks... This issue (only silencing the horn when the trumpet button was pressed, and not on any key on the annunciator keyboard) has come up on the list several times and each time everyone has agreed that it could not be done. Just helps to stop the noise. You can change this by making modification to a config file on the 50 or 70 Series box. The file to look for is found in the directory /usr/fox/wp/data and the settings are in the wp51_glbls file (not sure if I spelled that correct though. However, this file is a system file and will possibly be overwritten by a newer version of I/A series software. The better place would then be to create/modify the file init.user or if that does not exist init.user.rel in the same directory. Make sure to rename the file to init.user if you want the system to use it. There is a catch though, I can't give you directions from home which parameter to change. I think if you search for a term like annunciator you will be sent in the right direction. The file itself is well documented. BTW. edits to either wp51_glbls or init.user require a reboot ;-( Hope this has helped a bit, Regards Ron Deen (Invensys) _______________________________________________________________________ This mailing list is neither sponsored nor endorsed by Invensys Process Systems (formerly The Foxboro Company).
