Re: For example, InFusion Historian does not store alarm messages - a separate tool does that - and can't support the Alarm History Display - the other tool can't either. How the operator will do to see the Alarm History Display? -----Mensaje original----- De: foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] En nombre de Johnson, Alex P (IOM) Enviado el: Jueves, 25 de Marzo de 2010 16:36 Para: foxboro@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Asunto: Re: [foxboro] Aim* upgrade/replacement Re: Alex may give us insight on Aim*'s future? There are no immediate plans to withdraw AIM*, but there aren't a lot of enhancements planned either. Eventually - some years from now, InFusion Historian will completely replace AIM*, but it's not yet a "drop-in" replacement. For example, InFusion Historian does not store alarm messages - a separate tool does that - and can't support the Alarm History Display - the other tool can't either. On the other hand, its reporting tools are much better - ActiveFactory and Wonderware Information Server offer a lot of benefits relative to what AIM* tools do. Does this help?
