Yo, I will attempt to explain. There are two types of message groups, 'legacy' and 'iaalarm'. (See B0193YL, Section 2 "Event Message Configuration). The legacy group contains alarm messages that were available to the legacy, Informix based, historian such as System Monitor messages, OAJ and others. The 'iaalarm' messages are those that were not available to the legacy historian, but are available in AIM. If you define a DSN and connect to the 'Message' group, you will ONLY have legacy messages to select from. If you chose 'Event Messages' you will be able to select from BOTH iaalarm AND legacy messages. The answer to your second question is there is only one OAJ message table. You will see 'opraction' in 'Message' and 'Event Message', they are the same. Hope this helps.
