So, Homebrew Harvest is a no-go for this year. If you already had a brew
planned or in progress and would be interested in donating it to an event,
I'd encourage you to look into Artoberfest in Ruston. Richard Breiten said
that it was a fantastic event, lots of good brews and some prizes for best
brew.

Nathan Slaughter actually e-mailed me and let me know that they date we
picked coincided with Shreveport BREW as well as another beer event! I'm
not sure how much if any that will hurt us, but we're just scared that
it'll end up a flop... we can't really move it to another date.. so we're
looking to postpone it until fall 2017..

Hey guys! I hope you're all having a good summer and staying in the
shade!
First, let me thank you guys again for joining us for BrewFest! The
event didn't go exactly as planned, and I'm sure everyone was disappointed
in a few aspects, BUT, despite the heat, we did fairly well. Couldn't have
done it without your support, participation, and mostly... your patience
and good spirits :)
I just wanted to send you guys an update since you all expressed
interest in participating in the Downtown RiverMarket's HomeBrew Harvest
this Fall.
The date we've chosen for this event is October 15th. We'll host the
normal RiverMarket array of events... shopping, food vendors/trucks, live
music... but we'll also be hosting the "River Rat Paddling Challenge"
which
is a kayak race on the Ouachita as well as HomeBrew Harvest.
I'd love to know if this date jives with all of your calendars! It'll
be a lot more laid back than BrewFest, but just as fun. I'll be sending
out
information to those of whom I get commitments from by the end of this
month.
Let me know! Look forward to working with you all again.
