Well, we do not have a constraint that the milkman should code the cow as
well; Coders xyz team could code teh cow, and the milkmen could just milk
them. And lawyers pqr could argue that this cow is a FLOSS cow, and hence
the they can modify it.. and coders jkl can patch it!
You may not feel bad when you are in an isolated cell working on a
windows machine, your M$ word application fails to save a particular kinda
file... you/your geeky friend knows what's going wrong.. the app is
screwing up with file and dirs and you have to wait on end to fix it... and
M$ says they will fix it in a release scheduled after two years.. and they
cannot fix it with highest priority because they gave you a discounted
license!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We do!
And I always have a problem when my gf asks why she's so special to me :P
so no comments on your last sentence!!!!

We are going a bit off the topic. As i told you, Free software is
great and it doesn't hurt to have software thats not free. Thats what
