Hi Tim,
I wasn’t there because I was on baby sitting duty so that Maria could attend.
Think it must have been Simon Amos.
Thanks,
Simon

The meeting was held to formalise our position on the 2nd sibling policy
since there was some confusion in its application. (e.g. it applies to the
Yeovilton visit but not PGL). The question was raised how this works with the
hardship policy. It was agreed that the hardship policy is independent of the
2nd sibling policy, has been minute and adopted.
The Proposal that the 1st child pays in full & further siblings pay half
price was presented. While simple in principle, it was noted that this could
be difficult in practice to administer since this would most probably apply
in group events where individual leaders would not have easy visibility of
siblings outside their section.
Discussion regarding what we should implement for the upcoming Yeovilton, PGL
and funds in general. Re finds in general, at next exec meeting should look
at having a budget plan.
Re PGL, that a flat discount be applied across all participants such that the
budget for this is all used. This would be implemented in the 3rd payment for
the event. Should there is a shortfall in budget then this will be brought
back to the exec.
Re Yeovilton, proposed that the group pay for the coach and the £14 that has
been asked for from parents will be for entry and food in the evening.
Some leaders wondered if there could be somewhere to access all the policies,
minutes etc from the exec, but noted that the discussion of policy storage &
access, while important, is outside the scope of the meeting. (Discuss at the
next scheduled exec meeting).
Votes:
1. That we do not have a sibling discount polity.
For: 7 (i.e. there is no discount)
Against: 0
Abstain: 2
2: For the PGL trip we should discount up to budget limit.
For: 9
Against: 0
Abstain: 0
3: For Yeovolton trip; coach paid for by group, patents contribution to cover
entrance and evening food.
For: 9
Against: 0
Abstain: 0
Meeting closed at 9:45.

Hello all
It is apparent that we need to resolve and document the policy regarding
discounts/equal opportunities and we should do this promptly. It's never easy
to agree a good day for everyone, but Wednesday 25th after cubs looks
reasonable.
So the exec meeting will be Wednesday 25th April, in the Pats, 8:20pm start.
Please attend if you can.
Many thanks
Tim
