Hi Simon
Thanks for this. I know that one of the original reasons for this meeting was
to be at a time when both Graham and myself (who had expressed reservations
about the kayak purchase) could attend. With this document showing the
comparison against renting kayaks giving a 5 year payback, together with the
news from Chris that we are able to apply for a grant covering 50% of the cost,
I'm now in support of this purchase.
I'm happy that we can demonstrate that we have completed a due diligence
exercise as we should for this level of expense and that by exploring
additional funding avenues, it makes sense for us as a group.
As attending the meeting would mean returning home for the evening (a round
trip of 3.5 hours) and with the documents presented, my questions are answered,
I'll give my apologies for the meeting and will not now be there. (I'm already
returning home tonight to be at the Scout Gold Award presentations).
I'll get a scout section report to Chris before the meeting.
