one other thing...if u r looking in the long term...
something to think abt is investing in the
Nasdaq stock QQQ....it moves in the direction of the
economy...a kind of average of all stocks in Nasdaq
(which is IT-dominated)..
so if we buy QQQ now (when the economy is down)...
and the economy is bound to come up in a few yrs. time
...investing makes sense...but again to get some good
gain we need to invest a fair bit..plus tax is high
(savings bonds have no state tax)
ps: if u dont believe in IT coming up...u can invest
in the Dow Jones tracking stock (that includes more
companies..not just IT)
